Ford Reneges on Promise to Stop Supporting Homosexual Agenda; Please Vote with Your Dollars again

By JoAnn Hamilton
May 31, 2006

A couple years ago, Proctor and Gamble spent a lot of money to support the homosexual "marriage" agenda. Several pro-family organizations sent out information to encourage people to boycott their products. I remember encouraging you to stop buying Crest Toothpaste, Tide Soap and their other products. As a result of the nation-wide response, Proctor and Gamble felt the impact of the boycott. The corporation decided that supporting the few people who supported homosexual "marriage" was not worth losing 70 percent of consumers who believe that a marriage should consist of one man and one woman. P&G dropped its support of the radical agenda, and now we can support their products once again.

Now these same pro-family organizations are setting up a one-year boycott of the Ford Motor Company because of its support of homosexual groups promoting same-sex "marriage." For a more detailed review of Ford's promotion of the homosexual agenda, visit www.BoycottFord.com ("Petition to Boycott Ford Motor Company, Also "Ford asked to honor commitment," American family Association, March 2006).

Forty-four pro-family groups asked the automaker to stop supporting homosexual groups, parades, magazines, radio and television that promoted the homosexual agenda. Ford actually made an agreement to do this and the pro-family groups backed off on the threat of a boycott.

Ford officials determined that the company would not renew current promotions or create future incentives that give cash donations to homosexual organizations based on the purchase of a vehicle. Ford also said it would stop giving cash and vehicle donations or endorsements to homosexual social activities such as "pride parades." Ford said it would not give donations to homosexual organizations that, as part of their activities, engage in political or social campaigns to promote civil unions or same-sex "marriage." The corporation also intended to cease all advertisements on homosexual Web sites and in other media outlets in the U.S., vowing to end financial support of the homosexual agenda.

Then seven homosexual leaders met with Ford representatives and Ford went back on its agreement with the pro-family organizations and issued a public letter supporting the homosexual groups.

Ford is now acknowledging its right to give hundreds of thousands of dollars to groups promoting same-sex "marriage," while recognizing that individuals have the right not to purchase products made by Ford Motor Company. Ford can choose to offend hundreds of thousands of pro-family supporters or support the homosexual agenda, and you have a vote with your consumer dollars.

It is sad that the dealers across the United States will be affected by a decision they had no voice in. Please ask your Ford dealers to request a change in policy and tell them why you will not purchase a car from them. By doing or by saying nothing, you vote for Ford's present decision.
